Laboratory Analyst [position filled 09/01/11]
We are seeking a laboratory analyst with 1-5 years experience for a long-term permanent position. Some of the key responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to laboratory bench work, instrumentation analysis, data evaluation, quality control, customer service, and technical reporting.
Education and Qualification:
- BS in chemistry (equivalent experience considered), recent graduates encouraged to apply.
- Strong command of English language both spoken and written.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are very important as we are a small laboratory and you must work closely and amiably with peers.
- Solid laboratory basic skills.
- Strong computer skills, preferably Macintosh.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety practices.
- Comfort with and motivation to troubleshoot and maintain laboratory instruments.
- Flexible, energetic, self motivated, with a great attitude and common sense.
Preferred candidate will have:
- Experience with Flame AA, GFAA, ICP analysis for metals
- Experience with microwave digestion
- An inquisitive, enterprising nature and instrumentation troubleshooting skills
